I happened to expand the "date" column in the list of Research records and noticed this:

The dates are all in 2021, so the years are being displayed incorrectly.

I have just tested this and it is working correctly for me. I suspect that when you first entered the date you typed the year as just '21', which FH interprets as 0021. Try adjusting the date in the Property Box of the Research note, entering the year in full.
