Storing Icons in FH7 and WIN11

Post by Columbine » 03 Feb 2022 09:33

Wonder if someone could kindly help me please. I am on version 7 of FH which I’ve had for about 2 mths. A week ago I got a new computer – so now on Win 11. I have installed FH7 on new computer & have my many projects all transferred nicely but I didn’t want to move other things over like the icons as I wanted a ‘fresh start’. Have been using the icons that come with FH7 but now find I would like to add just a few more.
Where are they stored please? Previously they were in C:/ProgrammeData/CalicoPie etc but on Win 11 I can find no ProgrammeData.
I am assuming they are stored somewhere else in Win11 & some guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks. Sandra.

Hi Sandra

It's never been called programmedata
It is in fact called ProgramData and is still there in Win11
In a file Explorer, type C:\ProgramData in the top bar and you will then see Calico Pie Folder
Or.... In File Explorer, click View then down to Show> and select 'Hidden Items' then go to your C drive and you should see ProgramData
The folder icon will be a paler yellow indicating that it is hidden

Thank you; yes I had just realised it was hidden in Win 11 & found a quick tutorial online on how to have it showing & can now add my icons where they should be. Sorry about the wrong spelling - it should have been Program Data but I knew what I was looking for & just couldn't find it. All sorted now thanks.
