Help to remove from forums
Hello friends - I have decided to use another software program -- and for the life of me, I cannot figure out a way to remove myself from this forum. It says I have set up no notifications -- nor am I in any groups (in my preferences) -- yet I continue to receive emails. Can someone tell me how to totally unsubscribe from this website? Thank you so much for any help. Kathy

Re: Help to remove from forums
If you've looked hard, then you're not by any chance talking about mails from the Family Historian Mailing List are you? These come from someone "via groups.io" and have a to-address of "family-historian@groups.io" - or at least that's what mine do.
As I understand it, to unsubscribe from that you need to send a mail to family-historian+unsubscribe@groups.io with (I guess) just "Unsubscribe" in the subject line - but it must be sent from the address that you subscribed to that list from - which should be the one receiving the mails.
If you've never heard of the list then sorry - just do what Helen suggests!

If you are meaning the This week's active discussion topics in the FHUG Forums emails you can turn them off yourself.
Click on the drop down beside your name at the top right and select Profile.
Click Edit Profile
Untick the Receive Weekly Activity Summary box
Click Submit

I did try to turn them off in my profile -- but it said I wasn't subscribed. However, I get these emails regularly even though I haven't subscribed (at least that is what my account says!) I send a note to Cole Valley girl on the link she provided. Thank you, everyone.
Re: Help to remove from forums
Is the email address that is receiving the weekly emails the same as the email address shown in your profile?

Eyrie, you must be subscribed here, otherwise you could not add these postings.
I think Adrian is correct and you are confusing this FHUG service with the Calico Pie Email forum, so please follow Adrian Bruce's advice or use the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of those Email messages.

Everyone, could we all stop bombarding Kathy with the same information, please. She's in touch with the admins and we'll get it sorted out.
