1. Can I print only one level of descendants?
2. Can I pick and create a custom chart?
3. Is custom charting available in 6.0?

Thanks

Yes you can create and print a chart for one level of descendants (v7 and I believe it was the same in v6)

View > Charts > Descendants...
Pick the person if it's not the current person then select the 'Generations down'. In V7 this is 1/2/3/4/5/10/15/20/All generations
So for me, this creates a chart of myself and my wife.
On the diagram that is produced, if you have descendants, you will see a line down from any connection to your partner/spouse with a + in a circle. Click that to show/hide the next level of descendants. You can hide the + by clicking the icon that says '+ Button'

Welcome to the FHUG.
  1. Can I print only one level of descendants?
Yes, as Neil says, in the Diagram > Options > General tab, Generations Down sets the number of levels.
  2. Can I pick and create a custom chart?
You can customise a standard Diagram and save it in two modes.
    1. Use Diagram > Save Diagram As > Custom Diagram Type to save the custom settings for later use.
They can be invoked using View > Custom Diagram Types in FH v6 or Charts > Custom Diagrams in FH v7.
    2. Use Diagram > Save Diagram to save a Family Historian Chart that saves the settings and the box details.
They can be displayed using View > Saved Charts in FH v6 or Charts > Saved Charts in FH v7.
  3. Is custom charting available in 6.0?
I'm not sure why you are asking about FH v6.0
If you are using FH v6 then you should upgrade to the free v6.2.7 from the FH Archive: https://www.family-historian.co.uk/down ... ad-archive
Or was that a typo and you meant to ask about FH v7.0?
