Position of Citation List Pane problem
I am running the prototype FH v7.0.9 and having a problem with the Citation List Pane (yellow Sources For pane).
Tools > Preferences > Property Box > Preferred Position for Citation List Pane is Open in New Window for docked & floating.
If the Citation List Pane is displayed floating in its own window and the Property Box cog menu Customize Property Box... option is used to add or remove an item field, then the Citation List Pane becomes attached to the Right of Property Box.
The only way to cure that is to switch between the Property Box floating and docked modes. Then the Citation List Pane closes and when reopened is floating in its own window again.
Can anybody else repeat those symptoms or has anyone already reported them to CP?

Re: Position of Citation List Pane problem
Haven’t tried that yet, but version 9 has now been launched so any fix will have to wait for version 10. Main improvement seems to be reworked import from TMG, plus the usual raft of minor fixes.

Re: Position of Citation List Pane problem
Where has v7.0.9 been officially launched? Does Help > Check for Updates say it is available?
Only this morning I got a message from CP in reply to my support ticket regarding TMG import that says:
"We have created a page listing standard GEDCOM fact tags, and added a link to it from the TMG import web pages."
So I presume v7.0.9.0 it is still being updated to v7.0.9.1.

All the usual places. The updates are described here. It is available for download here. FH7.0.8 prompts you to upgrade to FH7.0.9 if you "Check for Updates". All we need now is Jane's usual announcement on CP's behalf...

Re: Position of Citation List Pane problem
Actually, not quite all of them. I checked the new Notice Board that was introduced with FH7.0.7, and that hasn't even announced FH7.0.8 yet and still calls 7.0.7 the latest version.
Looks like CP still can't get their act together for joined up and timely communications to users...
I'm not familiar with the TMG issue described, but what you have quoted sounds like a revision to the FH website support material, not the program executable file.

Yes, you are correct. CP have added the GEDCOM tag list to the website pages and 'released' v7.0.9 as it is.
It would still be nice to know if the Citation List Pane problem is applicable to earlier versions or introduced by v7.0.9.

Mike,
I reported this problem to Calico Pie on June 2nd when I was using version 7.0.5. They opened ticket 63581. The last update from them was on June 21st when they answered my question on the prognosis of when it might be fixed:

That is the last I've heard from them.We have logged it and it will be investigated but I can't give you a date for that. Sorry not to be more helpful.

Re: Position of Citation List Pane problem
Mike,
I am running version 7.0.8.2, and the symptoms are the same as you describe if I follow your instructions in the first post.
I normally work with Preferred Position set as Bottom of Property Box so would not have noticed this previously.
Regards,
Adrian
