Family Historian User Group

It's been a while since I did some research, but I am up-to-date with FH version (7.0.8.2).
My diagrams are not opening with my desired saved options (which include record flag icons etc.) - how do I get this to work?

Also - how do I edit my configured record flags (some are revealed in Ancestral Sources as having incorrect census country etc assigned, but I can't edit them there - can't remember how to!

Apologies if I'm asking the obvious - as I said, I've been lax for quite a few months/years !!

Could you please update your Profile on the right to show Family Historian: V7
Click on your username, then Edit Profile, choose the FH Version and scroll down to SUBMIT.

What is your recent history of use?
Have you upgraded to FH v7.0.8.2 on the same PC as you ran FH v6.2.7?
Did your Diagrams display correctly after you upgraded to v7 or only in v6?
If you have not Saved your Diagram settings and either changed PC or upgraded to v7 then your settings may be lost.

Have you upgraded to the latest AS v7.2.7?
It has Tools > Flag Assignment and Flag Batch Add commands that should help with Record Flags.
Check the Help in each dialogue window to remind yourself how to use them.

Upgraded to v7.0.8.2, on same PC as previous v6.

Not sure if I've even played much with v7 since purchase to have even notice any prior issues with diagrams.

AS is v7.2.7 - but when I check flag assignments, some boxes are greyed out and don't allow me to edit. See incorrect country in attachment herewith:

If you have not saved your FH v6 customised Diagram settings then unfortunately upgrading to FH v7 sometimes resets the Diagram settings to default.
Did you ever use the Diagram > Save Diagram As > Custom Diagram Type to save your custom settings?
There is also the Backup and Restore Family Historian Settings plugin to preserve all customisations.

In AS, click in the white space to the right or click the Clear button to deselect all existing flags and use the boxes below.
It says that on the Help page. Did you read that?
That is the way the window opens, so you must have selected Census UK 1851 yourself.

It would appear (from another post regarding Custom diagram presets - which I have replied to) that FH no longer picks up default diagram options as the default for new diagrams - they have to be saved as a new custom chart type - why? ALways worked OK in previous FH versions?!
I now have to go through and re-add my diagram box/flag/icon conditions for any chart I want them in & save as a new type !!!

I am not sure why you are having this problem. See my reply to your post in the other topic.
