is there an automatic update of the Sample Project in V7?

I've upgraded my system to V7 by purchasing an upgrade version from V6 (ie not an entirely new V7 program). I've been using FH since about V5, so my original copy of the FH Sample Project was of that vintage.
I want to look at, and tinker with, examples of the new templated sources before I decide what to do about my own projects.
Is there a new version of the Sample Project (the MUNROs) available from Family Historian?

I don't believe there's a new version; however, there's nothing to stop you experimenting with creating templated sources there. Have you read
Sources and Citations in Version 7 (for Upgraders)?

It’s the same download for FH7 irrespective of whether you are installing fresh or upgrading, so all users have the same Sample Project. As far as I can tell, it’s not been upgraded to use any of the new FH7 features, which may be a missed opportunity for CP to demonstrate them in action.

That was my first thought. My second thought was how could one produce a single sample project containing both templated and generic sources? Especially since the "sharp intake of breath" reaction says - don't mix them. Or then again, if you're like me, mixing has to be tried to come to that conclusion... But I did find it more useful to try templating some of my own sources on a vastly cut-down version of my own tree for that particular exercise.

Yes, I've read a lot of the help files about upgrading, and am still consulting them constantly and I do find them helpful.
But my reason for wanting an updated sample was, indeed, to see a professional rendition of a "fully templated project" to see if that is the way to go, for me.
I realise I can tinker and create some templates myself, but it would be helpful to see something done totally in the new format.
I too am thinking of perhaps making some of my existing sources into templated ones (FreeBMD and the Probate Calendar are probably easy examples to use) while retaining my other existing Generic Sources.
In fact I have been working on my own 'templates' for a while, they were just not part of FH itself but text files used as a basis to be copied, amended and pasted in to FH sources and citations (often for my foreign language transcriptions - where narrative language rather than table format - was often standard for BMDs)
But I don't want to have to go back and alter everything - and I worry a bit about exporting Gedcoms...
Many thanks to all who have replied; it is appreciated and I will persevere.

I am absolutely not trying to force you into a conclusion - but I would like to point you towards some of the issues with mixing templated and generic sources. (By the way, like you, I did consider converting my FreeBMD source-record to a templated source as an exercise, not least because you get a lot of bangs for that particular buck).
My own thoughts on the matter were recorded in
My personal thoughts on Templated v Generic Sources (19466) where I came to the conclusion that I wasn't going to mix generic and templated sources - and there was no way I could face converting all my existing source-records. Anyone starting from an empty (or nearly empty) file may come to a different conclusion. Ditto anyone who can face a "do-over" of their source-records.
Like you, I also worried about exporting GEDCOMs - the suggested methods seem to end up with everything(?) in the TITLE, which I wasn't happy with. On the other hand, I had to admit that exporting a GEDCOM was not something I am likely to do, so is it a fair test?
Please take my thread on that URL as my own
personal thoughts, which might help you - or they might refer to things that you don't agree with or really don't care about. Good luck....
