My tree being over 30,000 now has lots of repositories that are rarely used and mainly one-offs.

Short cuts to repositories
Is there a way to limit the repository names to the most used rather than going through the whole list to get names beginning with Y?

You could add your most used ones to the Favourites tab (right click and add to favourites) or just check out the most recent list.
You can do the same with source and other records as well.

Re: Short cuts to repositories
To get Repository names beginning with Y just enter Y into the Name Filter: box top left.
Also, there should be a Sources column that gives the number of Sources that link to the Repository.
Click on that column header with the Alt key held down and it sorts into the most used order.
Both the Name Filter and the Sources column are shown in Jane's screenshot.
If you do both the above, then it lists Repositories beginning with Y with the most used at the top of the list.

It's the Select Repository window which opens when you want to select a repository to add to a source record.

Re: Short cuts to repositories
I looked there but when I right-click on the relevant repository name (it is 1st in the list), it only says sort ascending or descending, or add to bookmarks?

Re: Short cuts to repositories
Yes, when Jane said "right click and add to favourites" she meant "right click and add to bookmarks". (You should only see the "Sort Ascending/Sort Descending" option if you right click on the column heading, not on one of the records in the list.)
You can build up a list of most used repositories in the bookmarks list, which is then accessed by clicking the red Show Bookmarks icon. Alternatively click the Most Recent icon to get a short list of the most recently used repositories, which may be similar.

John, the window with the Bookmark appears when you click on 'Repository" for a source record. i.e. the grey drop-down box, used to select a repository which opens the Repository Window
The Bookmark Icon does NOT appear when looking at the Repositories Tab in the Records window. Unfortunately both windows look very similar.
Perhaps we could suggest CP add the bookmark icon to the records window too?
