The Ancestor/Descendant Count attribute facts are updated by the 'Create and Update Ancestor and Descendant Counts' plugin from the Plugin Store, but as it says there "the Fact Set information will need to be updated manually."

Have enclosed 3 screen shots
One each for Ascendant count & descendant Count
One sample extracted from a record showing count.
It looks as if there is a code or something that is missing as in other project s after adding the say Ancestor ciunt it does appear on the record but without the count
Thanks

I thought it might be a plugin doing the updating.

Yes, I'll say it again:
The Ancestor/Descendant Count attribute facts are updated by the 'Create and Update Ancestor and Descendant Counts' plugin from the Plugin Store, but as it says there "the Fact Set information will need to be updated manually."

If you don't run that plugin in a Project and just add the attribute facts by hand then they have no count value until you enter a count or run the plugin. Adding those attribute facts by hand does not magically fill in the counts automatically.

In your original posting you requested:
"All I want to do is to when in a record I want to add a fact, that I see all (including custom facts) in one window and not just the standard facts."
Has that request been satisfactorily resolved?

Several queries have been resolved in this thread, Mike, including that one (as far as I can interpret the OPs responses).

When I created a new project and added Ancestor & Descendant after 5 entries and ran plugin hey all 5 entries at once somehow automatically entered their counts, without me entering count or having to do one at a time.

Since adding another 28 records nothing has happened.
I ran them singularly but then they through up other data as well....now very confused??
All other points than this have been resolved

Are you sure you're running the CREATE AND UPDATE ANCESTOR AND DESCENDANT COUNTS plugin?

That looks more like the ANCESTORS AND DESCENDANTS – COUNTS BY GENERATION PLUGIN plugin result set.

You are a star
Yes all along I have been putting into each record a Fact for each of Ancestors & Descendants Counts.
Then accessing the Ancestors & Descendants Counts Plug in one at a time and wondering why I only got a list of various items.
Now I know ...IT works great
When adding extra records does one rerun the Plugin and it updates or is it automatic.
THANKS AGAIN

You need to rerun the plugin - it isn't automatic. But it will create the facts for you - no need to do that yourself
