Bow Tie chart

Post by Klaus Yde »

Is it correct that FH is not able to make a classic bow tie chart, with my wifes ancestors to the left and mine to the right? Like the attached chart - but without children.

You could easily make one, by adding a left right and right left ancestor diagrams to a single chart.

So no. I was just surprised when a new FH user asked me if FH was able to make it and i couldnt find it. As he is quite new to the program, 74 years old and not very good to english. I dont think he will be able to do it this way, but perhaps later?

Thanks

Hi,
I want to make a bow-tie diagram, and in a former reply it is stated "by adding a left right and right left ancestor diagrams to a single chart".

I feel rather stupid: How do I combine to diagrams into one? Can anybody help me?

Do the first diagram and then right click and select Insert Diagram and select the one you want, you can then save the result as a chart using Diagram>Save as from the menu.
