Marriage added to report but no source being quoted
Hi
Excuse what is no doubt a simple question but I have had a look around the forum and knowledge base and can't find the answer.
In the Famiily Group Sheet report, I have added in the Family Member Main Items, the marriage details for the children, %INDI.FAMC[1]>MARR[1]% having explored the many bewildering folders in the Data Ref Assistant.
That expression came up automatically when I clicked on a Marriage event. It adds the event (i.e. the marriage date and place of a daughter/son) and that's great. But it does not include the source despite sources existing for the marriage. All other events have the source listed.
I note there is a Sources folder shown in the Data Ref Assistant but I can't fathom what to do to get the marriage source listed?
I apologise for not being technical-minded, especially when it comes to customising reports. I generally make do with what FH provides. Yes, I know it's probably not making the best use of the software.
Thanks.

Re: Marriage added to report but no source being quoted
I suspect you have copied the Data Reference incorrectly to this posting as the marriage details for the children needs to use %INDI.FAMS[1]>MARR[1]% not FAMC, i.e. Family as Spouse, not Family as Child, which refers to the parent family.
That would also add the Marriage details for the parents too, duplicating what is already shown for Husband & Wife above.
However, I agree that Source Citation footnote superscripts are omitted. That is all the same as for FH v6.
You could add %INDI.FAMS[1]>MARR[1].SOUR[1]>% to refer to the 1st cited Source record for the 1st Marriage.
However, that is very different from Source Citation footnote superscripts referring to the later Sources section.
I have to admit it is odd the Spouse(s) of Children are listed by default but Family facts such as Marriage are not.

Hi Mike
Thank you for your reply and information. I do drop by from time to time but regret I can't add anything to the discussions. The time you obviously give to people on this forum is much admired.
Cheers.

John, if it is a significant problem for you then report it to Calio Pie via http://www.calico-pie.com/osticket/open.php with a cross-reference to this thread. Say that items added to Family Member Main Items don't get Citation footnote superscripts and ask why Spouse(s) are added to the Child entries but Family facts such as Marriage are not included.

Hi
As promised, an update and a result!
'Thank you for reporting the issue you raised (custom items added to the Family Member Main Items list in the Family Group Sheet report do not get source citations). This will be addressed in the next update. I have made a note to contact you when it is available.

Following on from that success you might want to ask CP why Spouse(s) are added to the Child entries but Family facts such as Marriage are not included. If they had been included then you would not have needed to add them as Main Items.
