I'd like to be prompted whether I'd like to install PDF support, a feature that was introduced in 7.0.5 by placing fhinstallconfig.ini in the same folder as the installation program.
A link to the .ini file is given in the update notes for 7.0.5 (https://www.family-historian.co.uk/v7-updates) but I am not, unsurprisingly, able to download this type of file.
Is there another way this can be obtained? e.g. giving the file a different name so it can be downloaded and renamed as fhinstallconfig.ini once downloaded.

What is preventing you from downloading it? I am able to download it just fine.
I have created the attached file with the same contents that are on the .ini file. After downloading, just rename it to have an extension of .ini.

Re: PDF Support - Prompt to install
When I clicked on the link it downloaded the tiny 19 byte file instantly but then Adobe Acrobat tried to open it and failed.
However, ignoring that and after closing Adobe Acrobat, the file had downloaded OK.

BillH, Thank you for your response and .txt file, which I have downloaded without issue.
I am using Microsoft Edge (Chrome). I must have security settings too high!! With the original .ini file, when I click on the link I get the message "fhinstallconfig.ini was blocked because this type of file can harm your device" and I couldn't see anyway to override the settings.
Thank you again for taking the time to help

In Edge, when that message is displayed, click on the message to get a dustbin delete option and a ... menu that offers a Keep option which allows the download to continue.
