Family tree printing

Post by neh664kxy5746 » 19 May 2021 21:56

I apologize in advance if this is not in the right forum, I am new to this software.

I would like to request the ability to print the family tree without having boxes split across multiple pages. I'm not sure if this is a plugin request or an application change request.

Welcome to the FHUG Norm. This is the correct Forum and there are a couple of solutions to your question.

1) Avoid Page Boundaries
When any Diagram is displayed, it has its own toolbar at the top and a Diagram command menu.
Towards the left of the toolbar are the Show Page Boundaries and Avoid Page Boundaries buttons.
They are also available on the Diagram > Page Boundaries command menu.
That should give you what you want.

2) Save Diagram As PDF File
On the menu see the Diagram > Save Diagram As > PDF File (.pdf)... command.
If you OK all the default options that should create a single page PDF file ignoring the page size and boundaries.
That can be opened in any PDF viewer on any device, printed on any size paper, or sent by Email, etc.
See the FHUG Knowledge Base Single PDF Page of a Diagram.

So depending on what you want to achieve, those options should solve your problem.
