Trying to use Find my Past hints

I have been in contact with Find my Past about my difficulties, but have been told I need to ask Family Historian.
Accepting a hint does not appear to update the tree the hint appeared in. I was able to download a Census and add it to media for the individual, but nothing automatic as far as I can tell.
When it gives the option 'save to your tree', if I choose that it only offers my Find my Past trees, not the Family Historian ones I am working in. So it seems a bit disappointing really.
Another difficulty is how do I, after looking at hints, perhaps accepting a hint or several, go back to where I was with the individual? I find I am having to go back to Home and get to the right person each time I do it.

Have a look at the Family Historian website which explains how the hints work

Findmypast hints are simply that, i.e., hints. They cannot add anything to your tree on FH. When FMP offers to add it to your tree, it is referring to your tree on FMP, NOT your FH tree!

Yes, the whole philosophy of FH is that nothing gets added automatically from online records.
Everything must be vetted and added by you, otherwise you risk 'garbage input'.

Currently, there are operational difficulties with FindMyPast and MyHeritage 'hints' via the FH internal Web Search window due to its use of the Internet Explorer shell as required by Microsoft until late last year and won't be changed in FH V6.2.
So you are advised to use the External Web Browser mode, then the FH Individual should remain the current record.
