Having braved and conquered expressions in some limited way (thanks to Mike's patience!), I feel ready to tackle the next part of my FH naivety - Named Lists!
I created a named list ages ago, but have never used it because I couldn't see how/if I could make FH do what I would like to do with it ...
If I come to a point where I want to pause my research on a branch and add a reminder in a list to pick it up when I'm bored/have more time/ find something to reignite that branch. I have a flag that I use on diagrams to show me that more research is required at some point, but what I would really like to do is to be able to use that flag to add the person's name/ID into the relevant named list
Is that possible? and if so, can I have baby step instructions please? I'm still on v6

Have a look at Tools > Work with Named Lists and Record Flags, where you can add all individuals with a particular flag to a list you specify. You need to select the List and the Flag and then option 5.

Thank you! I think it's option 4 - those that DO have the flag?
I now have them in the list - brilliant

Yes, sorry option 4 -- slip of the finger.

There is a good tutorial on 'Named Lists and Record Flags' in the free “Getting the Most from Family Historian 5”.
See FHUG KB Family Historian Documentation and Named Lists and Record Flags.
Usually, you don't need both a Named List entry and a Record Flag for an Individual. One or the other will do.
