For anyone interested, the list of all the changes in the new 7.0.3 can be found here:
https://www.family-historian.co.uk/v7-updates
At present it still says 7.0.3 is "coming soon" so I think only those people who have received an email about an issue they had reported can get it at the moment.

Good list of updates. FH7 did feel a little rough around the edges when it first came out (more like a final beta version), but itโs settling down and maturing nicely now.

This update also seems to have cleared up the print preview display issues for Crossover/Wine installations on Mac/Linux.

I'm delighted to say that a VERY long standing problem/bug has unexpectedly been fixed!
To quote from the list of 7.0.3 updates:
"Colour-selection dialogs allow you to choose up to 16 custom colours. Previously, the custom colours were only remembered between sessions with some of these dialogs and not all. Now custom colours are shared between all colour selection dialogs, and always saved between sessions."
This problem was first reported to Calico Pie in 2012 (and was also the subject of a wish list request, in case they didn't regard it as a bug - see
https://www.fhug.org.uk/wishlist/wldisp ... lwlref=519). It had been mentioned a couple of times since then, most recently during V7 beta testing, but the subject was closed without comment so I had abandoned hope.
Now after nine years of waiting it has been fixed! Thank you Calico Pie
