How would one translate a Dutch date, given as "um 1782" into English?

I'm not fluent in Dutch languages, but I believe the language is a West Germanic derivative, in which case the preposition "um" could mean at, around or about, according to Wiktionary.

Many thanks! I'm going to enter them as "circa."
