Fact Sentence problem

Post by ColinMc » 07 Mar 2021 17:27

I have a Letters of Administration Fact Attribute where I'm planning to fill the value with Widow, Son, daughter etc if it is known.

This sentence works perfectly if I have a value for the attribute but not so well if I have a blank attribute value.

Letters of Administration for {individual's} estate were granted< to {individual's}> <{value}>.

Is there away to suppress

< to {individual's}>

if {value} is not present?

Yes, use the {=CombineText(...)} function similar to Sentence function confusion x 2 (19061) explanation.
e.g.
{=CombineText(Sex(%CUR_PRIN%," to his "," to her "," to their "),%FACT%)}
