Making a copy of my project...

Post by fhtess65 » 21 Feb 2021 03:39

A stupid question here, but, I don't want to mess anything up.

In his intro to using Ancestral Sources, Nick says: "It is highly recommended that you work with a copy of your project/file until you are sure of how to use Ancestral Sources and have decided on the settings you require."

How do I make that copy? There's no File > Save As.

Do I export it as a gedcom and import it into a new file?

Restore a backup to a new file?

Or is there a "drag and drop" to new file option as there is with RootsMagic?

Thanks...

Click on File > Project Window.... When the window opens listing the existing projects, select the project you wish to copy, click on More Tasks..., and then select Copy Project... from the drop down menu.
