Adding Citation Specific to source template

Post by rcpettit » 15 Feb 2021 22:07

I'm a lumper and working with the new templates in FH7. My question is how do you create citation specific fields in the template editor? Working with US Census records and the templates available, FH keep wanting to make Splitter type records. Using the generic template it works fine.

I found where to make a template entry into a citation entry, but now FH won't let me use them in the biography and footnote fields.

When you add/edit a field, tick the Citation-specific option.

Having saved and closed the editor, then in the Source Template Definitions dialogue click Compare/Sync with Source Template Record...

Click the Help button and all is explained.
