Hi, I want to do a chart of my family tree, is there a way to hide death information, please? Ideally for my and the previous generation - I don't want to upset people unnecessarily, as it shows where, when and why in the chart currently.

Welcome to the FHUG.
Yes, you need to change the Diagram Text Scheme.
So with the Diagram displayed use Diagram > Options... and open the Text tab.
I suspect the current Text Scheme is Birth, Marr, Death but whatever it is click the Clone... button to make a custom copy and remove 'Death' from the New Scheme Name.
For that new Text Scheme click Edit Text Scheme... and on the right select the Death item and click X Delete below.
Repeat that for the Burial item if it exists and OK out.
That will remove death & burial details for everyone in the Diagram.
It gets much more complex if you only want them conditionally remove for some generations.
