Reset default sentence definitions

I see that fact sentence templates can be restored individually. Is there a way to do restore all of them to their defaults en masse?

Goto Fact Types > Fact Sets, select the fact set you want reset and click the Reset button.

The method suggested by mremkes will only re-set the global sentence template, if you have previously changed it. It will not affect any individual changes you have made to sentences in Property boxes. This is entirely reasonable, because you need to be able to 'tweak' the global template without messing up any indivdual changes you have made.

As far as I know those individual changes will need to be re-set manually, one at a time. [Edit: Mike has now sugggested a way of doing it]

I think Robert is referring to the ability to set the Sentence Template for specific Facts and override the Tools > Fact Types definition of the Sentence Template.

To delete all such fields is much the same as for any Fact subsidiary field management.
Use a Fact type Query with a Columns entry for Sentence chosen from the lefthand Fields, i.e. %FACT._SENT%
On the Rows tab you can use Exclude if %FACT._SENT% is null but it is a not essential.

Run the Query and in Result Set click Sentence column heading to bring used fields together.
Select all those used cells and hit the Delete key on keyboard.

I am trying to convert from RootsMagic 7 using a GEDCOM which incorporates the RootsMagic extended details. When I do so, many of the RM sentence structures are found in FH7. As they are a different template language, of course they don't work properly. So what I want to do is to perform the import and then globally change all sentences to the FH7 defaults.

It looks as though the reset suggested by mremkes above may do the job, but I haven't tried it yet.

Robert, please provide more details about what you are seeing imported from RM.

If the templates you mention don't use the FH Fact subsidiary tag 2 _SENT then they will have no effect.
As you say the RM templates are different. So they won't work in any way whatsoever. They have no effect on FH.
There is nothing an imported GEDCOM can do to upset the Tools > Fact Types global definitions of Sentence Templates.
Thus nothing needs resetting. What you are seeing as narrative sentences are the FH global defaults.

I suspect the RM import may have custom facts with no Tools > Fact Types global definitions and that is what needs resolving.
