Media Link Notes

Post by DownSouthDrew » 03 Feb 2021 14:43

I have recently upgraded from FH v6 to FH v7.
In version 6, when I added any media, under the media tab of the Properties box, any date and Link Note for that media item was displayed, with the thumbnail, in the bottom media box. For example, 1907, Burial record or 15 Aug 1899, Baptismal Record.
However, when I now add any media items in version 7, only the date is displayed with the thumbnail and whatever is now in the Link Note, is not displayed.
The Link note is actually there, with the media item, when that media item is opened for editing but is just not displayed with the thumbnail. I found it useful, in v6 to be able to look through the media thumbnails, and quickly display the item I was looking for in order to update or edit any media notes.
Have I omitted to 'click' on something, or is this a new feature of v7?

Yes, that has been mentioned before but can't find it now. May have been on the Email forum.
It seems to be new FH V7 behaviour but cannot be sure if it is intended or not.
You could report it to Calico Pie via http://www.calico-pie.com/osticket/open.php and see what they say.
