Privacy brackets in places
From reading different posts I thought that a place, for example, San Diego County, California, [[USA]] would hide the USA in reports. However, in the individual narrative I get San Diego County, California, [[USA]] where I was hoping for San Diego County, California. I've looked for an option but not found one. Am I confused or is this doable?
Thanks,
Jackie

Re: Privacy brackets in places
No, that is NOT possible.
[[privacy]] brackets are only supported in long text fields that allow multiple lines of text such as Notes, Text From Source, and Address, but even then the support is not comprehensive.
Place fields only allow one line of text, so are not included.
For shorter Place names, Narrative Reports have a Use Short Form for Repeated Place Names option ticked by default and Diagram Text Schemes have Place Format: Short & Medium options.
So in Narrative Reports, once San Diego County, California, USA is mentioned once in any section thereafter it should be shortened to San Diego County.
