Hi
I'd like to take advantage of the custom id feature for my individuals records.
Rather than going into the property box of each person, is there any way to load them all onto screen in one and edit from in there?
The most logical place would be the individuals tab per screenshot below, however I cant see that this is editable, essentially a database query only
Not sure if there is a feature and I can't find it, or a plugin or if its just not do-able.
If anyone has done something similar before, would love to hear how you tackled it
many thanks
phil

Re: Custom ID's - any way to enter on-mass?
As you have discovered the Records Window and Query Result Set are output only so cannot be edited.
The only solution that springs to mind is a very simply Plugin that loops though all Individual records and prompts for Custom Id on each one. It would be a useful learning exercise.

Re: Custom ID's - any way to enter on-mass?
Further to the last post I wonder if Phil made any progress with a plug-in ?
My import from FTM shows the custom id's i used there. I would like to amend the system I had been using, but rather than doing it person by person (which I can do) a method of doing it in blocks (eg by surname) would be really useful (for me, anyway).
Not a problem either way, just thought I would ask.
