Occupation listing in family trees

Post by mikeslucutt » 30 Dec 2020 17:33

It seems with Version 7 only a person's first occupation is shown in a family tree diagram, not all of them. Residence is OK, it shows all the places a person lived.

Is there any way the family tree diagram can show more than one occupation per person as it did in version 6?

You must have customised the text scheme to display just the first occupation.

If your text scheme is already displaying multiple Residences, copy the format from the residence line.

You need to use a looping index, e.g. %INDI.OCCU[1+]% %INDI.OCCU[1+].DATE:COMPACT%

That's way it worked in version 6. Any multiple event, was listed separately.

Your suggestion stops other event types being listed, just occupations.

FH V7 does not magically alter Text Schemes inherited from FH V6.

It is unwise to edit the default standard Text Schemes. Instead, use the Clone button and edit a custom copy.
The standard Test Schemes can be reset using the Restore Defaults button in the Edit Text Scheme dialogue.

Mike, please post details of which Text Scheme you are using.

Details of specific Used Items expressions you have edited will also help us diagnose what has gone wrong.
