I have forgotten how to bypass the Select Diagram Root dialogue. In other words I like to select the root of a new diagram by selecting the individual in an existing diagram.

Just click the box of the individual in the existing diagram to select them. Then click one of the diagram icons in the toolbar to create the new diagram.

That ability has been removed in FH V7 but the Select Root Dialogue has additional options that may reduce clicks later by setting Generations or More options...
Lorna, it has changed in FH V7 and now involves a dialogue box whereas in FH V6 clicking the tree icon in toolbar opened the Diagram immediately.

It still works if you have the right option set.

New options all over the place
That is what Trevor (and I) needed to know.

Yes, I'd forgotten that I had ticked that option. It was one of the first things I did after installing V7. So many adjustments to make...

Many thanks Lorna. Like you one of the first things I did in v7 was to select that option. Then when I went to find it again I skipped "Enable One-Click Diagram Display from Toolbar" because that title did not immediately ring a bell.
