I was really pleased to see the appearance of research notes in this new version. I often used to use a stand-alone note against an individual to store this information. Now I can pop it into a Research note, link the note to one or more individuals and display an icon on a digram that indicates the presence of research notes for those individuals. This provides a far more elegent solution to flagging an individual simply as a "Problem Child". However, I can't see how to get research notes linked to an individual to appear on a narrative report for that individual. I do note that the Help on this topic states that "Research notes are excluded from most reports" which is frustrating as this is important for me as these notes will often describe the reasoning for my making assessments and decisions relating to that individual based on the evidence/information I have been able to obtain. I've checked report options, and ticked everything that refers to Notes, but to no avail. Which reports are Research notes included in?

I don't believe you can include them in reports, other than the Research Notes report -- by design.

My intention is to use Research Noted for private 'Work in Progress'; if I need to record a 'proof statement' (to whatever level of rigor) for publication I'll do it in a Note Record.

The reason I was eagerly anticipating research notes was that it would be useful when working with a co-researcher to be able to send a narrative report containing the logic used to derive a particular decision about an individual. Being able optionally to include research notes in a narrative report would facilitate that. Putting the information in an "ordinary" note can result in the inclusion of quite large volumes of discussion not necessarily of interest to anyone else other than a fellow researcher.
