Chart Text Colour Issue

Post by Fred » 12 Nov 2020 11:46

Hi All,
I am just readying a tree for formal printing and have spotted an oddity. I have set the name font colour via 'Diagram Options' > 'Boxes' to blue for male and red for female. Whilst this has worked, I do have one name (actually mine) that is coming out a completely different colour (I think it may actually be the FH default red for males). I've never seen this happen before in my charts before and so am a little confused by what's happening.
I have tried deleting myself from the file and re-adding as a male - no success.
I've tried saving myself as a female and then resaving as a male - no success.
I've tried resetting the whole chart font colours for males - no success.
I've tried doing all of the above after closing and reopening FH......all without success.
My wifes font colour is fine and so its just me.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Fred

I forgot to say....I did check the 'Format', 'Override Box Features' and no specific colour had been selected there i.e. everything was blank. I also can use this route and select the same blue colour for my specific name and this does work...but if I then change the overall colour selection for 'males' my name is again left unchanged. This is an odd one.

I presume your box is uniquely the Diagram Root?
What other Box Conditions do you have?

Does the Box Type for Root set the Text Colour?
Is it a higher priority than Sex?

Does any other Condition set the Text Colour?

If you are sure there is nothing in the Text Scheme settings that adjust the font colour then it must be the Box Conditions.

Not sure what you mean by 'Format', 'Override Box Features' ?

Sorry for the delayed response...been caught up on some other things.
Following your pointers I did further digging and eventually found the issue....the 'Diagram Options' > 'Box Type' > 'Spouse' colour was set to red!!
Thanks heaps.
