Major problems with Family Historian program

Hi, I was unsure which topic to post this under but hope someone can help. I am using FH 6.2 but through Crossover on a Mac with OS Mojave 10.14.6
Since yesterday I have had a number of major problems including:
Unable to save a project, and therefore also unable to open another project without quitting FH and reopening it.
Within a project cannot select an individual record using a mouse, an individual near/next to it in the list opens up;
I have 4 projects and they are all behaving the same.
I appear to have double header at the top the screen repeating the file name, to be honest I cannot remember if this is new!?

Any advice on what to try to sort this out very gratefully received ( I should say my IT skills are not great).
With thanks

Diane

Sorry to hear about those problems Diane.
Please confirm your Mac configuration is still the same as when you posted in CrossOver v19 (17289) last September.

Hopefully, some Mac/Crossover expert users will be able to help you.

Just to confirm I've done no updates so I am currently using FH V6 on my Mac (OS Mojave Version 10.14.6) through Crossover (Version 16.2).

Crossover earlier than V18 was a bit troublesome to get FH working reliably. I am running Crossover v20 and the majority of issues are now resolved. I would suggest that you update to a more recent version of Crossover.

Hi Colin thanks for the reply.
I'm a bit anxious as I've been running Family Historian through Crossover for a couple of years with no problems, odd that it would suddenly go awry.

Diane,

According to the Changelogs for Crossover, preliminary support for MacOS 10.14 (Mojave) wasn't introduced until the release of Crossover Version 17.5.1, in July 2018, so you've probably been lucky to keep an older version going as long as you have.

I agree with Colin's comments on the current Crossover version; i.e. considerable improvements in performance partly coming from the application itself, but also taking advantage of a much more up-to-date version of Wine.

Colin and Mervyn many thanks for your advice about updating to Crossover V20. I have updated today and Family Historian now seems to be running well again, with none of the issues I reported. Phhhew!

Thanks again.
