Marking Direct Ancestors in Diagrams

At one time I had a little blue (for my husband) and red (for me) triangle under our direct ancestors in the diagram, but now I've forgotten how I set it up and I was wondering if there was an easier way to mark direct ancestors in diagrams. Back in 2014 Lorna Craig said that she coloured the box of her direct ancestors yellow, could I do something similar using different colours for the two sets of ancestors? If so is there an easy way to set this up or could you tell me (in simple terms, please) how to get my triangles back.

Hi Rusty,
Perhaps you saved your previous settings in a Custom Diagram Type? See View > Custom Diagram Types.
Maybe you have migrated to a new PC and overlooked migrating your custom settings?
Anyway, you need to use the Diagram > Options > Boxes tab and use << Add Condition > Expression.
The Expression needs to be like =IsAncestorOf( %INDI%, Record(1,"I") )
where the first number in the Record function is the Record Id of you.
You can then choose whatever Box Features you prefer; box colours or triangle icons.
The red & blue triangles are standard icons provided by FH.
Repeat that process with Expression like =IsAncestorOf( %INDI%, Record(2,"I") )
where the first number in the Record function is the Record Id of your husband.
Having got that working use Diagram > Save Diagram As > Custom Diagram Type with a memorable name.
Then you can always retrieve those settings when required.

Thank you Mike, I'll give that a go later on today, I don't think that I used 'expressions' last time but I'll have a try, thanks.
Margaret.

Margaret, if you did not use Boxes tab Condition > Expressions then you must have used Record Flags and set a Flag on every direct ancestor.

Yes Mike, that sounds more like me! However 'Expressions' sounds a better way to do it.
