Hi All,

I have an unmarried couple and when I run the Descendant narrative report it states that 'they had a relationship' within the text. However, if I insert their photos, the photo shows 'Spouse' as opposed to 'Partner'. Is ther any way to change this?

You can change this on a case by case basis with the 'Use Note as Caption' option for chosen pictures. On the Media tab of the partner's Property Box double-click on the picture to open the Edit Media Item dialog. Write your own caption in the Note field at the bottom, then tick 'Use Note as Caption'. Caution: this is NOT the Picture Note field which is just below the Title. It's the larger (but unlabelled ) note field at the centre bottom.

This note will then be used as the caption in ANY reports where the picture appears, not just when it appears as a 'partner' picture, so don't include the word 'partner' in the note or it won't make sense in other contexts.

Yes, open the Media tab and Edit Media for that photo.

At the bottom tick Use Note as Caption and enter the desired caption in the unlabelled box to the left.
