Adding same media to multiple individuals

Post by Gowermick »

Is there an easy way to add same image to multiple individuals, or can I only add them one at a time?

e.g. Adding 'Brickwall' image to all my brickwalls at same time

Apart from writing a Plugin the quickest way I can think of is to use Copy & Paste and a Named List.

First, add all your 'brickwall' Individuals who need the image to a Named List on the Records Window.
Open the All tab of an Individual who already has the 'Brickwall' Media attached.
Scroll down to locate the Multimedia Object for the 'Brickwall', right-click it on the left and choose Copy (Ctrl+C).
Open the Named List on the Records Window and double-click first entry to open its All tab.
In the All tab, right-click the name and choose Paste (Ctrl+V) to add the Multimedia Object 'Brickwall'.
Single-click the next entry in Named List and Paste into its All tab as above, and repeat...

That should be quicker than going through the Media tab Add Media dialogue repeatedly.

Thanks Mike, works a treat.
Even adding them individually this way is much quicker than usual method
i.e. One click and Ctrl-V, rather than 6 clicks!
