Empty notes

Post by KiwiDigger » 13 Jun 2020 11:02

FH 6.2.7 Have run a Standard Query, Last Updated Note Records, & there are quite a few <no text> results. I would simply like to delete these notes, as there doesn't seem to be any point in keeping them, but there doesn't seem to be any simple way to do that. There is no record number given, & double clicking just gives a cut-down individual record box containing Main & All tabs only (but no record number). Can you help please. Thanks.

Note Records are listed in the Records Window on the Notes tab.

In their Property Box, like all record types, their Record Id is shown on the All tab.
BTW: It is not a cut down Individual Property Box it is a Note record Property Box.
Every one of the 10 types of record (Family, Source, Media, Place, etc.) has its own style of Property Box.

If they have no text then presumably it does not matter if anything is linked to them.

Delete them the same way you delete any records.
See how_to:delete_a_large_number_of_records|> Delete Any Number of Records.
