Splitting an individual record

I have a set of facts, mostly census, against an individual. I have now discovered that this is not one individual but two -some of the facts relate to individual A and some to individual B. Is there any way that I can split an individual record so that I can choose which facts go with which individual? Something like a reverse of 'Merge Record'?

Use the Plugin called "Clone any record" to create a duplicate record.
Compare the 2 carefully, and then delete the appropriate records from each individual as required (I have to do this quite often)

A plugin isn’t really necessary. Call the two individual A and B. If only one of these two currently exist, create a new individual B
Copy each fact from A then paste to B, then delete original fact from A.
Work your way through each fact, and slowly move the misplaced facts from A to B.
Personally I think this way, although slower, is better, as it is more under your control. With two cloned individuals, it is too easy to get confused, deleting the wrong facts from the wrong individual

Thanks both. When I started with Family Historian a couple of months ago I took the view that I would keep to the basic package and ignore the plugins as I would be more in control of what I was doing. But having read other posts and installed Ancestral Sources and Add a GRO source I've changed my mind - the plugins make life so much easier and have been very reliable.
I'd looked at the Clone plugin but wasn't convinced that it would do what I wanted and, as it was written in 2012, wondered if something had been built into later versions of Family Historian. But I've now downloaded it and it worked a treat.
The moral of this little episode has been that if in doubt assume that they are two different people and then merge at a later stage!
