Adding a 'Journey' Event

Post by AlanParry » 22 Apr 2020 11:03

I would like to add a 'fact' to record a persons 'journey'. Like an immigration/emmigration event but to record that they "arrived at" or "left from" (or both) to attach departure / arrival documents.

I can't seem to create a fact with two places to be prompted for (maybe I'm missing something.

Thanks in advance

Hi Alan.
I am sorry, but that is not possible.

It is something that has been discussed many times, and I wish Calico Pie had never added the 2nd Place field, which is a non-standard GEDCOM extension that causes many problems.

See the start of the Adding a second place to a fact (17428) thread that gives a full explanation and options including Departure and Arrival attributes. (Disregard the later postings about GedSite from Mon 3rd Feb 2020 onward.)
