I am not over-impressed with the confidence of that response. It sounds like the same guesswork we have used here.

BTW: Have you tried all the advice in how_to:internet_data_matches#record_matching|> Record Matching regarding Internet Explorer and resetting its default settings.

Thanks Pentris, I am now working on an external browser; time will tell if it has resolved the crashing problem.
I have noticed that the number in the green hints circle no longer decrements as I resolve the hints.
Has this been raised anywhere as a problem?

Andy, have you checked how_to:internet_data_matches|> Internet Data Matches and followed all the advice including User Credentials?

The 'hints' counts should behave the same way regardless of whether internal Web Search Window or External Web Browser.

I find that, when using the external browser, the number of hints does not decrease unless you refresh them - or when you close and reopen the program

Thanks Mike and Paul, I re-checked all my settings, all were ok. Then I manually recycled the matches and they set to the correct number.
