incorrect dates.

Hi all, Trust all are well and safe.
I have a bit of a odd one, I know I have or had a date error in one my entries and I intended going back and sorting it later.
I had a child that was born before the Mother, and like a twit I never recorded where this error was for later.
Now the silly part, does FH like magic access the net and fix things like this, I wish.. as I just cannot find the entry now.
I did a validate which found nothing, so how would I RE find this error without going over every entry?.

No, FH does not do any magic.
Once it has raised the warning, and you have accepted it, then it won't keep warning you.
Validate is only looking for invalid GEDCOM syntax, whereas the Date warning is just semantics.
In some unusual circumstances, a family might adopt a 'child' who is older than the mother.
Or maybe the widowed father of the child married a young wife who is younger than the child.
In both those cases, the Date warning is superfluous because the dates are valid.
Just run the standard Query cunningly called Fact Date Warnings.
If you want a more comprehensive analysis then try the Show Project Statistics Plugin.
It not only calculates a great many statistics but also lists many exceptions including all the Date warnings.

Well it seems I have a LOT of tidy up to do. After running that plugin I have 122 pages of errors etc.
A heck of a lot of UID errors. Which is something I have not studied about yet.
So if you do not see me for a while I be head down - Bottom up in my lists

just a question. While sorting in all these UID etc I notice now and again I get brown text in the properties box facts?
When I have a entry of _NONE for one. is this important.

Peter, your description is not very clear. A screenshot would have helped.
BTW: The items you are describing sound like
UDF which would be more easily handled by following the advice in the how_to:handling_unrecognised_data_fields|> Handling Uncategorised Data Fields (UDF) for how_to:index#importing_to_family_historian|> Importing to Family Historian. I suspect many of the exceptions reported are derived from imported
GEDCOM that have not been cleaned up.
I think you must be talking about the
All tab of a
Properties Box rather than the
Facts tab.
In the
All tab (and in the
Records Window) records can be expanded by clicking the
[+] icon.
That expanded text for each type of record is presented in a different colour:
Individual records blue
Family records brown
Source records red
etc...
If in the expanded text there is a link to another record, you can click on a box icon to expand that record.
That text will be in the colour of that record type.
