New source types

Post by michaeldigney » 16 Apr 2020 19:03

Hi,
I have been away for a while and on my return have decided to go back through what I have done and make sure I have all the correct source info and citations created. My question refers to being able to create a source type other than birth or marriage certificates, I want to create a citation for occupation that is not on either birth or marriage cert but on a professional qualification.
It does not seem obvious how to do and have searched through the DB and help but no luck. Can anyone help please, I'm sure its probably straight forward and I just cant see it!

Thanks.

If you want a new source Type just enter it into the Source record Property Box field.
It can be anything you like, but don't make it so specific that there will only ever be one record with that Type.
It has no real significance, except as an aid to identifying or sorting records in related groups.

Thank you, I never tried to simply type it in because it was a drop down menu, live and learn eh!
