Can you set up a note that is shared by more than one person, so if it is updated it reflects on all the associated peoples records?
I have a family that formed a band and I want to set up a note for the band that I can update as I find more information, but I don't want to have to keep copying the note to all members of the family.
Thanks, Alan

Re: Sharing a note
Yes, you can use a Note Record, otherwise known as a Shared Note. Start with Add > Shared Note from the Main toolbar. This will open a Property box for the new Note Record, where you can enter your text. You can also link Sources to this record. Then when you want to link this note to an individual, use the Notes tab in their Property Box and Add Note > Add Link to Note Record.
Alternatively you can ceate the new Note Record from an individual's Note tab using Add Note > Add Link to Note Record > New. However one catch to watch out for if you do it that way is that any Sources you add on the Note tab of the Individual's Property Box will apply only to that Individual's link to the Note, rather than to the Note itself.

Thanks for the quick response, that works fine, can you link media to that shared note record? I can't see a media button?

You can link media to any Source that is linked to the Note Record, but not to the Note Record itself.

It may be better to create a Source record instead of a Note record.
Then you can cite that Source record from any Individuals, perhaps using the <whole record> option.
The Source record can have multiple Media images attached directly.

Another option is to add the information to one of the Band members as a fact and then add the others as Witnesses.
