FH6 seizing up

I'm not sure whether this is a bug or maybe because I am running FH6 on Crossover on my Mac.
When I create a new person on two occasions I have entered bef in the Born: field and then clicked away to check the date. FH6 produces an Invalid Date window, quite correctly, but I cannot do anything with that window. None of the buttons, pressing esc or close window button function and I have to force the program to quit.

I also get this with Wine/Linux; you have to be careful to ensure that any date warning window is handled before you click away. If you don't, Linux/Wine eventually asks if you want to end the process or continue to wait. Waiting has never resolved the matter; Ending the process closes FH. If you have autosave set to a short interval (mine is set at 2min), you don't lose much.
Lesson I guess is to be very careful about pasting in dates where FH cannot resolve the format - this seems to trigger the warning. "Impossible dates" (e.g. death date before birth date) seem to trigger a different type of warning (not involving a new window), but without the consequences.
Presumably this "issue" applies to a number of warning windows; it is just the date one that we notice since it is the most frequent.

I have added that to the how_to:family_historian_v6_on_crossover_wine#reported_problems|> Crossover > Reported Problems.
how_to:family_historian_v6_on_crossover_wine|> Family Historian V6 & Ancestral Sources V5 on Crossover, PlayOnLinux/Mac & Wine refers to Crossover Version 15.0.0 in several places. I notice that Crossover has moved on to Version 19.0.1 that supports .NET better.
What Crossover Version is recommended for FH and for AS these days?

Mike
19.0.1 is what I use which is the current and it is stable. Most of the problems still exist as they seem to be underlying emulation issues rather than FH or AS specific.

I have the latest version of Crossover, but I could not install .NET v 4 when I tried the other day. As you have said, must remember the date before clicking in the date field!
