Focus Window

Post by owainjones » 22 Jan 2020 18:06

Could anyone tell me please how to customise the focus window. I have worked out how to customise the property box but not the focus window. I want the focus window to include Birth, Christening, Death and Burial dates and places. I have these events showing in the property window but want the same in the focus one.

Many thanks.

Hello Owain.

Could you please perform a little housekeeping so that your version of FH is shown in your Profile on the right.
Click your username owainjones top right of this web page, and choose User Control Panel.
Then on its Profile tab, select your Family Historian Version and scroll down to Submit.
That ensures we give the best answer to your question for your version of FH.

There is relatively little you can usefully customise in the Focus Window.
Click the Customise View... link top right, or use Tools > Preferences > Focus Window.
But it is not possible to include all the details you requested.

For the Focus person and Spouse it does show Birth & Death & Marriage date & place.
If Birth or Death are not recorded then it uses Baptism/Christening or Burial/Cremation details.

However, since you have the required details in the Property Box, those are only one click away.

Try the Quick Family Facts Plugin that was produced in response to similar request as yours.
