Format of FactOwner
Is there a way to format =FactOwner(%FACT%,1,MALES_FIRST) as Surname first in a query so that the query output can be sorted alphabetically by person?

You could add a column with
If you make the original column a buddy column and place it after this one you can make this column "live" for selection.
