Birth dates and error message

Hi, I am new to FH, and any Genealogy Software!
I'm starting inputting my tree details doing me and parents. Looked at another feature and came back and go to my birthdate and get an error "Possible Error! Date is later then the latest estimated child birth related to individual father!". And the fathers' age is shown as "(3936)" even I know he can't be that old, I buried him!!!
I've checked all dates of birth and all seem ok
Have I done or missed something silly?? Help!!
Thanks

Welcome.
Exactly what Dates have you entered?
Make sure you enter every year with 4 digits.
i.e. 1 Jan 1938 and NOT 1 Jan 38 which means 38 AD in Roman times.
Also that looks an unusual Age as it is usually shown with a hyphen between two adjacent ages, e.g. (39-40)
If you still cannot resolve your problem then please post a screenshot of your father's Facts tab.
See info:forums#posting_topics|> Posting Topics for how to do that.
Have you studied how_to:key_features_for_newcomers|> Key Features for Newcomers as advised?
Especially the Documentation & Tutorials and the Family Historian Sample Project.
Also see research:getting_started|> Genealogy Research > Getting Started with Genealogy Research.

Hi Mike
Thank you for replying so quickly.
all the dates are 4 digits!!
Also the age is (3936) no hyphen I am aware of the format!
I've attached the screen shots
I have studied the Knowledge Base, I still think I am missing something!!!
Thank you

Thank you
I just went and took of all the BC's, that has put all the ages back!
where would the date ??? have been? Do I need to do something else when using BC's?

Why do you need to use BC at all? Do you realise that it means “Before Christ”, i.e. before year 0. I seriously doubt your research has gone back that far
Perhaps you thought it meant something else, could you explain what you think it means?

To detail the Source of your information you should create a Source for your Birth Certificate and then attach that to the event as a source citation. If you are just getting started it will seem a lot of extra work, but believe me when I say it's much easier to start off that way than to try and go back later and do it.
Have a look at
how_to:recording_details_from_a_birth_certificate|> Recording from a Birth Certificate

As someone new to FH and to genealogy, you have much to learn, but it is a fascinating journey.
Do follow Jane's suggestion, but to understand what it says, you will need to study more fundamental concepts by following its orange links to other topics.
Alternatively, study how_to:key_features_for_newcomers|> Key Features for Newcomers as advised.
Especially the Documentation & Tutorials and the Family Historian Sample Project.
Also see research:getting_started|> Genealogy Research > Getting Started with Genealogy Research.
