Re: Removing copy of Family Historian 6 from laptop
I assume you have used how_to:family_historian_migration_guide|> Family Historian V5 & V6 Migration Guide to migrate to the new laptop.
It is imperative you do that before removing FH from old laptop.
You don't have to uninstall FH as you are allowed to have it on two PC as long as you only run one at a time.
See how_to:about#licence_agreement|> Licence Agreement for details.
To uninstall FH, if you are running Windows 10, click Start and find the FH short cut icon.
Right-click that icon and choose Uninstall.
In earlier Windows open the Control Panel and Programs & Features.
Locate FH and use the Uninstall option.
Finally, delete the Family Historian Projects folder and associated files and folders.

Re: Removing copy of Family Historian 6 from laptop
Many thanks for reply.
I already have it on a desktop PC as well so want to keep to two copies.
I unlinked OneDrive on old laptop and changed folder name which seems to have changed a few things as well as taking Family Historian out of the programs list so will have to do things another way. As the laptop may be dumped I can just clear my data down.

Re: Removing copy of Family Historian 6 from laptop
Depends on what you mean by 'dumped'.
PC laptops must be 'recycled' as with other electronic goods to recover precious metals, dangerous materials, etc, etc.
Just take out the hard drive and hit it with a hammer beforehand to prevent access to private data.
No need to uninstall anything.
