I have several sets of twins in my records and am exploring the ways I can store the detail. I can see a few forum discussions about queries to find twins and for methods of marking twins on a diagram. I was just looking for a good method to record the corresponding name of the other twin as the presence of twins is not readily apparent unless the parents are being viewed with the children below.

I have created a custom attribute with just the one field where I store the name of the twin, so that each person has a custom "Twin" fact referring to the other.

This looks OK but I was wondering if there was a way to turn the entry into a live link to the other person.

Or does anyone have any other interesting ideas?

I use a custom fact called Twins and on one enter the twin as a witness. They then both get sentences in narrative reports and a marker in the Fact tab. I have attached the Fact Set

I installed the fact set, added a fact to one of the twins and could see the link to the other. I realised this was a one-way link so have entered a matching fact for the other twin.

This does mean there are two "Twin" facts visible for each person but I can now navigate between them using the "GoTo" button.

I only normally add to the first born (if I know it), but no harm in adding it twice, you might want to blank the witness sentence to avoid seeing the fact twice in narrative reports.

Not sure why you say it is a one-way link.
If you right-click the Witness Twin Fact and open Witnesses the Go To can open the Principal Twin.

Yes I can now see it is possible to navigate, with quite a few more clicks via the witness dialog, to the other twin. I have added a Twin fact for both twins and it is a lot easier however to use the "GoTo" button which becomes enabled when I select a Twin fact.

I am still exploring the different options available so haven't fully decided how to record these facts.

Don't forget the Witness box can be left open all the time, just as the Parent one can so you can hop around more easily.
