clean install of Windows 10

Oh dear, I am in trouble again! Back in 2016 I had major computer problems and even bought a new PC and sought a lot of help from here in setting up FH again. I did, in fact, decide to buy a download for version 6 and all has been wonderful until now. I have saved all the upgrades and back-up copies all my files and folders.
Some months ago I (and many others) had huge problems with Microsoft's upgrade to Windows10 v1709 but managed to keep everything. Now, however, due to the catastrophic damage caused by Microsoft's latest attempt to upgrade to Windows 10 v 1803, I have had to have a clean install of my hard drive. (That is all another issue I won't go into here).
The result is that I am busy re-installing everything as I have no programmes. I have a separate hard drive with my files and folders which is brilliant but what I hadn't anticipated was that my download folder wasn't kept and I don't know how to restore Family Historian on to my new drive. Have I got to buy another completely new download or disc? Despite being happy that I know my gedcoms and photos are safe I am in despair! I do actually have it on my ancient laptop but wouldn't know how to transfer it on to my desktop. Is that even possible? Any help is always appreciated.
