V6.2.6 Thumbcache.dat

Post by Treesearcher2 » 23 Apr 2018 19:42

The specs for this version state that Thumbcache.dat is excluded from backups, but my v6.2.6 still backs it up. Is there a setting to activate this? Thanks

No, there is no setting necessary, as the ...\Cache\Thumbcache.dat file is excluded unconditionally.

Why do you say it is included in the Backup ZIP file?
Can you post a screenshot of the ZIP file contents as evidence?

If you Restore from a Backup then a ...\Cache\Thumbcache.dat file will reappear since FH automatically recreates it, but usually much smaller.

I've just created a full backup (via FH) and can confirm that it does not contain the .....\Cache\Thumbcache.dat file.

However, a backup I created in October 2017 does have that file in it, so it looks like things changed with the latest version of FH.
