Findmypast hints retreival

Post by Vic Russell » 07 Apr 2018 09:25

How do I get back to re-examining the findmypast hints when I have already accepted or rejected all of them. There seems no way of getting back to where I can return to the window and choose New, Accepted or Rejected if there are no new ones left.
Thanks in anticipation.

Welcome to the FHUG Vic.

See how_to:internet_data_matches|> Internet Data Matches which is one of the topics in how_to:key_features_for_newcomers|> Key Features for Newcomers.

In Tools > Preferences > Internet Data Matches or Internet > Internet Data Matches you can change the FindMyPast Filter Settings to show Accepted or Rejected hints so you can Review them again.

Thanks for that Mike. It seems a bit cumbersome to have to switch preferences in this way and then have to put them back again. Still I think the program is great.
Kind regards,
Vic

I think the assumption is that once you have Rejected a record, or Accepted and downloaded a record, then you would rarely need to change your mind and review them again. Also it is perfectly possible to search FindMyPast and find the records by traditional methods instead of the FH hints.
