A client requested the Narrative report from me and I wanted to print on the bottom of the report my submitter name, address ,phone no, mobile number and email address. Also printing date to be added.At the saving I found I could save as a Custom report but still no way of saving the submitter data. There appears to be no knowledge of this in the Calico book
Is it possible to do this and where other reports can be printed can that be done as well ie Charts etc.

I can't find any reference to including Submitter details within narrative reports. It is possible to create a separate report for the Submitter, using Publish > Record Detail Reports > Record Detail – Submitters. However that probably won’t be in a format you want and you would need to customise it.

If you are sending the report on paper, I think the simplest approach would be to create a separate page in a word processor, containing the details in a suitable layout. Then just add that page at the end.

If you are sending the report electronically in PDF form, use Publish > Book > Edit and add your narrative report as the first item in the book then add a Free Text item. Enter your details in the text box, then in the next screen remove the Heading which by default will say ‘Free Text’ in large font. This page will then appear at the end of the book.

You could always add your information to the footer or header of the report, or if you don't need it on every page, do as Lorna suggests and add a page front or back using the book option.

Jane, I looked at the possibility of adding it to the footer, but I could't find a way of adding more than one line of text to the footer and I don't think it would all fit. Did I miss somehing?

If you want to do it all in FH then use the Book technique with a dedicated custom Report Type for Submitter in addition to your other required Diagrams and Reports.

The Submitter report would start out as an Individual Summary Report but heavily customised as follows.

1. On Contents tab untick all options except Main
2. On Pictures tab set all Max Pics to 0
3. On Sources tab untick Show Source Citations
4. On Format tab select Heading Record and Edit to whatever heading required such as Submitted by
5. Return to Contents tab, select each Main Section Item in turn, click Delete and OK warning, so all become Hidden
6. Now Add the Submitter details required such as:
   Label: Name Expression: =FieldText(Record(1,"U"),'SUBM.NAME')
   Label: Address Expression: =FieldText(Record(1,"U"),'SUBM.ADDR')
   Label: Phone Expression: =FieldText(Record(1,"U"),'SUBM.PHON')
   Label: Email Expression: =FieldText(Record(1,"U"),'SUBM._EMAIL')
   where Record(1,"U") refers to Submitter record with Rec Id 1 and 'SUBM.ADDR', etc, is each data reference
7. Save Report As > Custom Report Type > Submitter

When you open this Submitter custom Report Type choose any Individual as no individual details are included.

It seems like a lot to do just to add the submitter data.
Could I request that this be added to the Wish list and /or send to Calico.
On all reports on last page the printing date time and full submitter info ie Name ,full address, telephone no, mobile no.
Many other genealogy programs use this.

I think Jane's footer suggestion deserves another look. It is quite surprising how much you can fit in across a footer, however, as pointed out it can only be one line. The following settings, using the same font size as "Produced by Family Historian give this output in the footer The page number has been moved to top left

Yes, but it has to be entered for every new style of Report, and it appears on every Page of the Report, and it does not work for Diagrams.

Hi Mike. It was just a suggestion and clearly if there was a perfect solution some one would know. I accept the comment about it appearing on every page. However, the OP was asking about narrative reports of which there are only three types so the work is not too great.
